BroadCast- The Japanese authorities decided to return the public to football and baseball stadiums starting July 10, but with some restrictions on the number of fans and other preventive measures to protect against the emerging corona virus.
Baseball League activities started last Friday behind closed doors, after the start of the championship was postponed for three months due to the Coruna epidemic, while the Japanese Football League competitions will resume on July 4, without an audience as well, after a period of suspension that lasted about four months.
Officials in both competitions expect the audience to start returning from July 10, Atsuhei Saito, the most senior official in the baseball league, said after participating in a meeting with representatives of the Football League and the Japanese government: "The government has allowed us to announce that we will be able to start accepting audiences from July 10, although we will do so keeping in mind the health status".
The number of fans will initially be limited to a maximum of 5,000 people in stadiums, before the number of attendees is increased to 50% of the stadiums capacity, whenever the situation permits.
The resumption of the two most famous tournaments in Japan came after the government confirmed control of the epidemic and decided to lift the state of emergency in late May.
